Big Grey Sound Studio offers its clients the latest in digital audio workstation hardware and software, top names in outboard and signal processing gear, a world-class microphone closet, a respected collection of instruments and amplifiers, and most importantly, a home-style, comfortable vibe that can’t be matched. The studio takes pride in its ability to turn out top quality recordings in just about any musical genre, from rock to country to folk to celtic to jazz and anything in between.

Big Grey is a “no pressure” musical environment where artists are free to achieve their artistic vision with maximum creativity and minimum hassles. The studio is committed to putting the artist first, and has gathered a reputation for meticulous attention to detail, as well as a strong dedication and personal commitment to each and every project it takes on.

Once again this year, Big Grey Sound Studio has had the pleasure of working with some of our region’s most successful and talented artists to help them achieve their goals. Grass Mountain Hobos' latest album Zoot! nabbed the 2010 ECMA and Music PEI awards for Bluegrass recording of the year. Singer, songwriter and bassist Chas Guay captured Music PEI's 2010 Male Vocalist honours for his eclectic, well-written and very polished album Little City. In total, artists whose albums were recorded at Big Grey Sound Studio claimed an impressive total of thirteen nominations for 2010 Music PEI Awards, as well as collecting three nominations for 2010 ECMAs.
